Estas categorías son parte fundamental de la generación de hidrogeno tomando en cuenta que para que el hidrogeno sea más puro, la calidad de agua debe ser la mejor con características técnicas bien definidas y normadas.

Del mismo modo para el tratamiento de residuos donde principalmente se trabaja con biogás, esto tiene que ver más con economía circular, por ejemplo, transformar residuos ganaderos, agroindustriales y lodos de depurados de agua, transformar la basura (organiza e inorgánica) en gas limpio, donde incluso se puede obtener hidrogeno en el proceso.
